How the process works:

  • Families complete official forms, including:

    • Service member information

    • A doctor’s statement confirming the medical situation

  • The completed forms are submitted to PRCS

  • PRCS securely transmits the information to the American Red Cross

  • The American Red Cross forwards the verified information to the service member’s command

All information is handled with strict confidentiality, using secure systems to protect sensitive personal and medical details.

Services to the United States Armed Forces

Palau Red Cross Society works together with the American Red Cross to support members of the U.S. Armed Forces during personal emergencies, such as the illness or death of a family member. PRCS assists with verification and notification to U.S. military members of a serious illness or death in their immediate family. This allows the service member to return home on emergency leave to be with their loved ones.

If you are requesting that a service member come home, please complete the required forms listed below and submit them to us. The communications unit will assist you from there.
